Result: In-situ micro-component robotic handling (fragile parts) method and the device

Expected Impact/Targeted User Groups: Extended robotic handling to micro powder-sintering applications / Micro/nano-structured powder related manufacturing industry

In projected Micro-FAST machine, the die is placed on a workpiece carrier. Fraunhofer  IPA chose  an industrial prevalent system  (the Bosch TS2, with the corresponding workpiece carrier WT2) as transport system: an adapted transportation will be realised based on this preliminary system; there are four conveyor belts arranged in a rectangle. The whole transportation system and all work stations are placed on a plain aluminium plate, build up on a machined stabil steel frame structure. All work station around the transportation system has the same design and assembly base.
