The Micro-FAST project has set clear objectives. The whole Consortium is composed into a complete value chain from basic technologies, demonstration to market applications. Each participant has its own specific knowledge and capabilities and will contribute to achieving these objectives. The consortium has 18 Participants, 11 of which are industrial companies (10 SMEs).

Some parts of the project work can be done independently by the partners while other parts require strong co-ordination, such as integration of technology and manufacturing facilities to be developed for demonstration and co-ordinated actions needed for project result exploitation.

Founded in 1994 MBN Nanomaterialia (www.mbn.it) is a producer of nanostructured powder materials trough a proprietary mechano-chemical synthesis process technology (Mechanomade®).
